September 8-12, 2025, is Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Week! Join us in recognizing Mr. Thomas Hoffmann, Spalding High School Athletic Director! Athletic administrators are the leaders who make education-based athletics possible. They work behind the scenes to schedule games, support coaches, ensure safety, and most importantly, create opportunities for student-athletes to grow and succeed. Please join us in thanking our athletic administrators for their dedication, vision, and commitment to building school pride and shaping the student experience.
This month, all GSCS schools will help fight hunger in our community by participating in the Manna From Above Food Drive. You can help by sending canned goods to school with your students this month.
GSCS is excited to share that our Fall Fling 5K and Bazaar will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025! Register to participate in the 5K or just plan to come shop from our employee vendors. The event proceeds will benefit staff and teacher appreciation initiatives throughout the district.
All GSCS schools & offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in celebration of Labor Day.

Attn. Seniors who missed your picture appointment in the summer. Senior pictures will be taken here at SHS on September 18th starting at 2pm. This will be your last chance to have your senior pictures made in house here at SHS. If you would like to have your picture in the yearbook and miss this opportunity, you will have to schedule an appointment with BPI at one of their studios. Pictures taken by other photographers will not appear in the yearbook. They must be taken my BPI.

Today, over 500 GSCS middle and high school student-athletes attended the Beyond Self Athletes' Assembly. The Punchline Pastor taught them many important life lessons, including: "No apologies, just standards;" "You can't reach high places with low standards;" "Learn to say no with confidence" and to "Learn to change yourself before you cheat yourself."
