Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) is so very thankful for all of our Partners in Education. So many businesses and organizations help provide opportunities and experiences for our students and teachers. Our district partners that each contribute in excess of $10,000 in value to help students are Brightmoor, Chick-fil-A, Dairy Queen, First National Bank, Georgia Banking Company, Marco's Pizza, Piedmont Fayette Hospital and United Bank. Thank you! Many others support the REACH and similar scholarships, individual schools, fine arts, athletics, and more. Some, like Norcom, provide school supplies. Some take part in the Partners in Education Fundraiser Golf Tournament (Sept 25 this year). Others serve as mentors and reading tutors for students. Community churches host events, volunteer at schools and pray for our students and staff. Thank you Griffin and Spalding for supporting our future through public education. We need you and we appreciate you!

Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Historic City Hall in Griffin, there will be an event for high school female students age 14 through 18. Girls in Public Works Day will allow students to explore career opportunities and possibly earn a college scholarship.

Their donations help support the athletic programs at both high schools, the college and career academy, and they provide field trip scholarships and classroom grants to benefit students through the Griffin-Spalding Partners in Education foundation. Today middle and high school fall Griffin-Spalding County Schools Athletics participated in the Beyond Self Athlete's Assembly, led by Community Partner and Mentor David Johnson. The Beyond Self Athlete Program is meant to grow student leadership skills, build character and improve school culture. Athletes were told they are all Persons Of Influence (POI) and the importance of the 3 R's: Respect Yourself, Respect Others and Take Responsibility. Keynote Speaker Tunji Adebayo Jr. inspired student-athletes to develop the skills and attitudes they need to recognize their potential. He taught the students that everyone is unique and can achieve greatness.
