Georgia Milestones testing season is upon us. Please remind your students not to stress or be anxious but to do their best as this is a chance to show what they know. See the attached schedule and tips. During Testing: attend school, be on time, sleep well and eat breakfast.
We’re excited to kick off Testing Spirit Week, and we’d love your help in making it a success! Participating in the fun dress-up days and activities can help boost their confidence and reduce test anxiety. Let’s work together to build a positive and energized mindset as we head into testing! Other ways to help are making sure your student gets a good night's sleep, eats a healthy breakfast and gets to school on time. Thank you for your support!

Congratulations to an exceptional GSCS alumni, Jhaycee Barnes. Spalding High School class of 2022 graduate, Jhaycee Barnes, of Griffin Georgia, was inaugurated as the University of Georgia (UGA) Student Government Association Vice President on April 8, 2025, marking the beginning of the university’s 38th SGA administration . A third-year college student majoring in economics and political science, Barnes ran on the “Impact” ticket alongside President-elect John Neely and Treasurer-elect Talha Ali . She is pictured with Neely and Ali and with UGA President Jere Morehead. Jhaycee Barnes was student body president at Spalding High. She was also Valedictorian and Star Student during her time in Griffin-Spalding County Schools (GSCS).
