Welcome to THE Spalding High School; home of the “Mighty Jaguars!” As principal during the 2023/2024 school year, I begin my 27th year in education. I am a native of Griffin, Ga and a proud graduate of Griffin High School (Class of 1992). I received my BA in Middle School Education from Mercer University in 1999, a MA in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University in 2004, and an Ed.S in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University in 2006. Eight of my 26 years as an educator was as a classroom teacher, 10 as an assistant principal, and 8 as a principal (Kennedy Road Middle: 2012-2018 and Spalding High School, 2018-Present).

Here at Spalding High School, we are committed to our vision of providing a distinctive brand, building strong leaders and establishing a great school so each of our students will be empowered to graduate college and career ready. In order to follow through on this commitment, we will strive to be professional, accountable, and we will communicate to all of our stakeholders effectively. Our focus is in the areas of literacy, enrollment, attendance, discipline and solving. Focusing on these areas will also guide us into keeping our commitment to our vision. Everyday we aim to provide high, quality instructional practices where students are engaged in reading, writing, speaking and solving grade-level work and tasks. We will accomplish our instructional vision by building relationships with our stakeholders, implementing a viable, rigorous curriculum, and providing quality instructions that are relevant to students’ learning needs.

The Jaguar Nation thanks you for allowing us to educate your most prized possession, your child and our scholar. We are looking forward to partnering with you and continuing to make our community a great place to serve its citizens. Go JAGS!!
