Lindy Pruitt  has been in education for 24 years and is in her 7th year as the Principal of Spalding High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Education from West Georgia College and later her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. She has an endorsement in Gifted and has completed the District Office Program through The University of Georgia in 2013.  She later attended Nova Southeastern University to pursue her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and is currently enrolled in the Harvard Principal Center seeking another certificate in Leadership and Management.


Mrs. Pruitt began her teaching career at A.Z. Kelsey Middle School during 1996-97 school year in the Griffin Spalding School System. She was a science teacher for four years and also taught English/Language Arts, Social Studies, and Reading. In 2000, she moved to Cowan Road Middle School where she was Teacher of the Year and served as an Instructional Coach.  During this time, she also coached basketball and softball in the recreational league. Mrs. Pruitt later transitioned to the Assistant Principal position at Cowan Middle School. In 2004, she was named Principal at Taylor Street Middle School which led her to open the brand new school Rehoboth Road Middle School in 2009. Later in 2014, she was named Principal at Spalding High.


Mrs. Pruitt is a member of The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), The National Association of Secondary Principals (NASSP), The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL), Georgia Association of Secondary Principals (GASSP), and Georgia Association of Educators (GAE). She serves on the Board of Directors for The Griffin College and Career Academy (GRCCA), and is a member of Griffin Daybreak Rotary. She volunteers in the community and is a member of Rock Springs Church.


Mrs. Pruitt is married to Keith Langford and has three boys, Chuck, Chad and Chase Pruitt. The two oldest boys are both married, and she has five beautiful grandchildren.


Mrs. Pruitt is an avid reader and outdoor advocate. She enjoys running, biking and doing Crossfit in her spare time.
